Matt & Foggy Hit The Street In First "Daredevil" Season 2 Set Pics
It’s only been a week since the This Is The End red-band trailer hit the web, and already we’ve got the first clip from the upcoming comedy. Released as part of the MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week, it shows Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Craig Robinson and James Franco freaking out in the aftermath of a massive earthquake hitting Los Angeles.
“I don’t want to die at James Franco’s house,” Baruchel says.
Fortunately they’re safe — or at least they think they are. Hill seems to believe that rescue services will prioritize actors over the rest of the citizens of LA.
“A huge earthquake happens, who do they rescue first? Actors,” he says in the clip. “They’ll get Clooney, Sandra Bullock, me, if there’s room you guys will come. The point is that we’re all going to get out of this first.”
Based on what we’ve seen of the movie so far, this doesn’t seem like it will be the case. At least it’s a nice satire on the actor mindset… at least, we think it’s satire. When we caught up with Rogen at WonderCon Anaheim, he described This Is The End as being “a large, emotional story about six friends.” Add some violence and horrible deaths in there, and it seems like we’ve got the movie summarized pretty well.
This Is the End, (a.k.a. The End of the World and The Apocalypse) started out as a short film called Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse starring Baruchel and Rogen as themselves living through the end of the world. The short was written by Rogen’s Superbad partner Evan Goldberg and Jason Stone. Rogen co-wrote the film version with Goldberg and Stone and also paired up with Goldberg to direct. This Is the End opens June 14.
