"Flash" Writers, Teddy Sears Race Down Burning Questions From "Flash of Two Worlds"
The epic struggle between man and ape continues in the forests of Canada. That’s where director Matt Reeves (Let Me In) is filming Fox Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The latest installment in the franchise, which was rejuvenated in 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes, picks up 15 years after the events of the first film and reportedly focuses on a group of surviving scientists in San Francisco as ruling ape Caesar (Andy Serkis) struggles to stay top dog in the ape community.
The Daily Mail published some photos from the set, most of which focus on Serkis and his crew of motion-capture actors who, after some computer tinkering, will all appear as apes in the film. Human stars Keri Russell, Jason Clarke and Kirk Avecedo also happened to be on set to get their pictures taken.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, which also stars Gary Oldman, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Judy Greer, opens May 23, 2014.
