The Simpsons Couch Gag Takes on Breaking Bad

It seems like the Simpsons and the Whites can really relate to one another. In a new promo for The Simpsons, America’s favorite Springfield family bakes its own version of Blue Sky: cupcakes.

In the bit above, we see that Marge has taken to baking blue cupcakes to please the residents of Springfield, and she’s making a pretty profit off of it, too. The promo ends with a hilarious reveal: Bryan Cranston’s Walter White and Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman sitting on a couch watching the show.

This isn’t the first time The Simpsons has made a reference to Breaking Bad. As can be seen in the clip below, Homer is called a “breaking baddie”:

Now we just need Breaking Bad to return the favor and make a The Simpsons reference in its final eight episodes, which air this summer.

So hilarious is a pretty subjective word.

I like The Simpsons… and I’m guessing enough people still do if they keep it on. But I’ll admit it was funnier back in the 90′s, but when the movie came out they lost writers so I attributed that to how sucky it got at times. It’s better now though, at least I think it is. But hey you can have your own opinions, I mean it’s not like some guy in the internet is gonna get The Simpsons cancelled. :P
