SPIDER-MANDATE: The Lowe-down on "Secret Wars," Tie-Ins and Stacey Lee
We’ve seen plenty of unofficial looks at actors in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but now we have some official ones. Director Marc Webb and actor Dane DeHaan both took to Twitter to unveil some exciting photos of newcomers to the Amazing Spider-Man universe: Max Dillon and Harry Osborn.
“Day 52. My name is Max,” Webb tweeted along with the above look at Jamie Foxx. This version of Max Dillon is much different than the blue one we saw strolling around set, so it seems like this is a shot of him pre-transformation into Electro. It also appears as if he has a bit of a Spidey complex based on the images he has tacked up on his wall behind him.
As for Harry Osborn, DeHaan tweeted the below picture and wrote, “Ladies & Gentleman, FanBoys & FanGirls of all ages: I give you The #Amazing Harry Osborn.” Though there aren’t many details to gain from this image, it’s clear that DeHaan’s version of Harry is going to be different than James Franco’s interpretation for Sam Raimi.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which opens May 2, 2014, also stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti and Sally Field. Here’s the official synopsis:
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
