In Slott's "Amazing Spider-Man," With Great Wealth Comes Global Responsibility
For one of the more secretive directors around, J.J. Abrams sure is showing off sizable chunks of Star Trek Into Darkness. Between the posters, trailers and clips, it seems like we’ve already seen much of the Paramount Pictures sequel ahead of its May 17 premiere.
MovieFone has debuted the above sequence, featuring Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk piloting a smaller ship crewed by Zachary Quinto’s Spock and Zoe Saldana’s Uhura through some potentially deadly obstacles.
Meanwhile, Paramount has released seven character posters featuring Saldana, Benedict Cumberbatch, John Cho, Quinto, Pine, Alice Eve and Karl Urban. Eagle-eyed fans will recognize several of these elements as making up a larger poster first seen earlier this month.
The film also stars Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg and Bruce Greenwood, who for some reason didn’t rate posters.
In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.
As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
