SPIDER-MANDATE: The Lowe-down on "Secret Wars," Tie-Ins and Stacey Lee
If you’ve been desperate for a closer look at The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘s Ravencroft Institute, then look no further. Director Marc Webb has offered up some Twitter teases about the new set location, but the folks at Comic Book Movie landed the mother lode of set photos. The images show a pretty impressive facility, and even include a sort-of reference to the Jackal, as his real name is Miles Warren and there’s a placard in memory of Thomas Warren seen in Ravencroft.
Considering The Amazing Spider-Man 2 already includes villains like Electro, Rhino and bad guy-to-be Harry Osborn, it would be a bit too much to include the Jackal as well. With that being said, this might just be an Easter egg intended for those who pay attention closely to the movie, and could be a reference to the Jackal being involved farther down the road.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which opens May 2, 2014, stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti and Sally Field.
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
