Why The Russos Are The Best Thing to Happen to the MCU Since Joss Whedon
With Star Trek Into Darkness hitting theaters in a little more than two weeks, Paramount Pictures has gone into full promotional mode with new TV spots and featurettes debuting every day. While each clip gives a new glimpse into J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek sequel with new footage or dialogue, one clip in particular is cause for excitement.
The latest in a series of Star Trek Into Darkness antagonist John Harrison’s evaluations of the Enterprise crew, a featurette on Zoe Saldana’s Lt. Uhura gives viewers the first real look at the unmasked Klingons of the rebooted Star Trek universe. Collider has posted a screen capture of the moment the Klingons are introduced.
In addition, the studio has also released two new TV spots — “Vendetta”
focuses on Benedict Cumberbatch’s John Harrison and his betrayal of the Federation, while “World” puts the spotlight on Chris Pine’s James T. Kirk as he goes on a mission to hunt down Harrison — and a new IMAX poster featuring the Dreadnought-class ship chasing down the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Opening May 17, Star Trek Into Darkness also stars Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Alice Eve and Peter Weller.
