Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Set Photos Confirm Movie’s Title

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans were less than happy to hear the Michael Bay-produced Paramount Pictures reboot was renamed Ninja Turtles. Just last month, however, word got out that the full name had been reinstated, and now you can see for yourself in photos from the movie’s set.

Fan site showed off shots of the logo, along with photos of Megan Fox as April O’Neil sporting not only green nail polish but also a yellow jacket reminiscent of the jumpsuit that character sported throughout the animated series.

Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo and Danny Woodburn as Splinter. The film was recently rewritten by Evan Daugherty (Snow White and the Huntsman), and is scheduled for a June 6, 2014 release.

    Reasons this will suck.

    1. Michael Bay – The producer’s highest rated movie (according to Rotten Tomatoes) that he’s done was called the Rock, was released in 1996, and only had 67% positive reviews. In fact, that’s the only title of his that was rated positively on RT, with #2 spot being Transformers at 57%.

    2. Seriously, Ninja Turtles? Stop ruining our childhoods, stupid universe! Worked as a comic book, then toys, then a tv show, but turning it inot a high-budget, sci-fi PG-13 action movie just won’t work!

    3. The Director, Jonathan Liebesman. His last movie was Battle: Los Angeles. The amazing and dearly departed Roger Ebert said: “Battle: Los Angeles” is noisy, violent, ugly and stupid. Its manufacture is a reflection of appalling cynicism on the part of its makers, who don’t even try to make it more than senseless chaos. Here’s a science-fiction film that’s an insult to the words “science” and “fiction,” and the hyphen in between them. You want to cut it up to clean under your fingernails.” Seriously, read the review, it’s hilarious.

Megan Fox doesn’t AT ALL look like Megan Fox. Now, only if her acting range could go beyond looking sexy and keeping her mouth open all the time.
