Max Landis' New Comic, "Green Valley," Presents a Fantasy-Free Tale of Knights and Redemption
When Community returned for a fourth season, it was bittersweet news. Another season of the NBC comedy wasn’t exactly expected, but it would come without the creative voice most responsible for the show’s cult status: creator and showrunner Dan Harmon.
Harmon’s presence was notably absent during Season 4, as many fans noted throughout the year. But now it appears that after a one-year hiatus, Harmon might be returning to Greendale Community College.
During a recording of his Harmontown podcast on Sunday, Harmon reportedly told audience members he’s been asked to rejoin the Community team. HollyWookiee.com reports that Harmon asked for his comments to be edited out of the podcast, but immediately recanted. “I don’t care who knows,” he said. He also reportedly added that he would only return to Community if ousted actor Chevy Chase was allowed back as well … and then “couldn’t stop laughing at that idea,” so, you know, maybe don’t take that part too seriously.
Although the news isn’t yet official and it’s unclear what role Harmon would occupy should he return to the series, The Hollywood Reporter confirms he’s in talks with NBC to rejoin Community “in some capacity for the series’ upcoming fifth season.” Darkest timeline averted?
