SDCC: Marvel: Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends Panel
A new look at director Jeff Wadlow’s adaptation of the Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. creator-owned comic book series has arrived online via Cine1 in the form of a banner featuring graffiti art depictions of Dave Lizewski and Mindy Macready’s crime-fighting costumes. It’s Hit-Girl and Kick-Ass, back to back, with haunting empty space representing their facial features.
Kick-Ass 2 picks up some time after the first film, with Dave’s actions as a vigilante inspiring several other costumed cimefighters. The self-made hero joins forces with Colonel Stars and Stripes and the heroes of Justice Forever as they patrol the streets and keep criminals at bay. But these heroes are hunted by the vicious villain formerly known as Red Mist, now going by a much viler name, The Mother Fucker. Caught in the middle of it all is Hit-Girl and the countless lessons she learned from her superhero past.
Starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Grace Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Kick-Ass 2 hits theaters Aug. 16.
