Why The Russos Are The Best Thing to Happen to the MCU Since Joss Whedon
Fans of NBC’s Hannibal can breathe a sigh of relief, as the thriller has been picked up for a 13-episode second season.
Created by Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) the hour-long drama features Thomas Harris’ Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen), who teams up with troubled criminal profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) in an effort to help Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) and his FBI Behavioral Science Unit track down serial killers. Caroline Dhavernas, Scott Thompson and Hettienne Park co-star.
As Collider‘s Allison Keene points out, the series’ continuation was questionable because of below average ratings, but might have been saved by a growing younger demographic as well as appealing to the lucrative foodie market.
Hannibal airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
