Some people just have rotten luck. Renai (Rose Byrne) and Josh Lambert (Patrick Wilson) are those kinds of people. The couple had to deal with demons using their son as a portal to our world in the first and, from the looks of the new trailer, much of the same in Insidious: Chapter 2.
Director James Wan, whose The Conjuring also stars Wilson and features supernatural elements terrorizing a family, also helmed the first one for Blumhouse, continuing the shingle’s string of micro-budget horror successes. Insidious was created for $1.5 million and wound up earning $100 million worldwide. Wan parlayed that success into a gig directing Fast & Furious 7. Insidious: Chapter 2 opens Sept. 13.
