Paul Bettany Talks "Age of Ultron," Working with James Spader & More
Things are starting to look a little wet and wild for Themistokles in 300: Rise of an Empire. Or rather wetter and wilder. The new poster released on Twitter by Warner Bros. features Sullivan Stapleton’s main character looking sullen as a bloody wave crashes in the background.
This fits with what we know about director Noam Murro’s sequel to 300, which features a group of men defending their homeland against the same massive attack seen in the original film, this one taking place on the water. While Xerxes (Rodrigo Santiago) returns as the main villain, his comrade Artemisia (Eva Green) will be leading their forces against Themistokles and company. The film was co-written and produced by Zack Snyder, who helped bring the Frank Miller comic to the screen in 2006.
Opening March 7, 2014, 300: Rise of an Empire also stars Lena Headey, Joel Edgerton, Jamie Blackley and Jack O’Connell.
