Wolverine Prepares For Ultimate Battle in New International Trailer

wolverine2

Fox has premiered a second international trailer for The Wolverine that clearly lays out the story of director James Mangold’s film while revealing new footage of Viper, Silver Samurai, Yukio and, of course, Logan. In addition, three more stills have surfaced online.

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

The Wolverine, which opens July 26, stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.

So Viper is a mutant and if I heard right Wolverine asked Yukio if she could see the future? I hope that she won’t be a mutant too… AndI was hoping that Fox would finally try to stay more faithful to the original comics but apparently they still haven’t learned that. Well, there’s still over a month before it opens so let’s see if I’m still excited enough to go and see it then

How are you not excited? I peed myself a little in excitement at this trailer. Seeing comics come to life on the big screen is a magical experience that I now get to enjoy with my own kids!!

  • George Doukas

Uh, where is Sunfire, he is part of clan Yashida, isn’t he? What a MAJOR F-UP!

  • Brendan

why is it so hard to film a story that everyone already loves, and the comics are basically a shot by shot storyboard you can follow? gotta add silver samurai. gotta add viper. gotta add a no-powers schtick. JUST FILM THE DAMN 4 issues miller did and we will pay to see it multiple times!

Shot for shot like the comics, huh? I guess you didn’t see Watchmen.
