"X-Men: Apocalypse" Post-Credits Scene Teases Two HUGE Franchise Debuts
Idris Elba is getting into the Gunman game.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Luther and The Wire actor is the latest to board director Pierre Morel’s The Gunman, based on a script by Pete Travis. The Joel Silver-produced film stars Academy Award winners Sean Penn and Javier Bardem in leading roles, and is targeted as the first in a potential new franchise.
The Gunman centers on an international operative played by Penn. When he’s betrayed by his organization, he goes on the lam and engages in “a game of cat and mouse across Europe.” Elba will play “a mysterious operative named Dupont.”
