Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
If you’ve been eagerly awaiting a return trip to Sin City on the big screen, we have some bad news for you: The release of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For has been pushed back. Originally scheduled for Oct. 4, the film will now debut nearly a year later, on Aug. 22, 2014. Dimension Films offered no reason for the delay.
Robert Rodriguez and Sin City creator Frank Miller have re-teamed up to co-direct the sequel, which they’re shooting at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios employing green-screen techniques similar to those used for the 2005 original.
The film features Josh Brolin taking over the role of Dwight from Clive Owen and getting entwined with Ava Lord (Eva Green). Sin City: A Dame to Kill For also stars Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Dennis Haysbert.
