"Ghostbusters": 11 Things the Sequel Needs to Do to Succeed
Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof are plotting a course to Tomorrowland, but one key ingredient is missing: a female lead.
The search for that role is narrowing down, however. The Hollywood Reporter states that two actresses are being eyed for the coveted Tomorrowland role: Under the Dome‘s Britt Robertson, and Terra Nova alum Naomi Scott. The character they’re vying for is named Casey Newton, and she’s described as “a rebellious teenager that comes to George Clooney’s character for help.” It’s said to be a potentially star-making role.
As of now, there are already several actors set for Tomorrowland, including the aforementioned Clooney, and House star Hugh Laurie as the film’s villain. Disney releases Tomorrowland on Dec. 19, 2014.
