Axel-In-Charge: Waid & Samnee on "Black Widow" and the Dawn of the All-New, All-Different Era
Rule No. ! about making a Christopher Nolan movie: You don’t talk about making a Christopher Nolan movie. Rule No. 2 about making a Christopher Nolan movie: Yu don’t talk about making a Christopher Nolan movie.
Casey Affleck has broken both of those rules.
In a recent interview with Elle Magazine, the actor was asked about his upcoming projects. His answer was revealing: “I’ve got a movie coming out at Thanksgiving called Out of the Furnace, and I’m going to work on a Chris Nolan movie in the fall.”
One can fairly assume that Affleck is discussing Interstellar, unless Nolan’s pulling a Whedon and filming a super-secret microbudget Shakespeare adaptation before plunging into his next big blockbuster. As for his role? Absolutely no details, and we likely won’t know anything more until Nolan wants us to know more — or until Affleck spills a few more beans.
Little is known about Interstellar, except that it explores Kip Thorne’s theories of gravity fields, wormholes and other high concepts. As with past Nolan films, the Interstellar cast is highly impressive: in addition to Affleck, the film stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Nolan’s so-called lucky charm, Michael Caine. It’s due out Nov. 7, 2014.
