SPIDER-MANDATE: The Lowe-down on "Secret Wars," Tie-Ins and Stacey Lee
Despite the promise of the title, it appears we haven’t seen the last of The Last of the Mohicans.
The Hollywood Reporter has word that FX is developing a limited series based on James Fenimore Cooper’s classic novel. Titled Mohicans, the series comes from Last of the Mohicans screenwriter Chris Crowe, who returns to pen the script. He’s joined by Kerry McCluggage as co-developer and executive producer, with Steve Beck on board as a producer as well.
Set during the French and Indian War of the 1700s, Mohicans features a fantastic roster of characters, if the novel and film adaptation are any indication. Don’t expect to see Daniel Day-Lewis again as Hawkeye (or any other character, for that matter), but if there is any justice in the world, Wes Studi will be brought back for a cameo, if not a full-on reprise of the fierce warrior Magua.
