"Agents of SHIELD's" Lincoln Says Mid-Season Finale Is "A Complete Game-Changer"
Lucasfilm moved quickly to shoot down a rumor, which Badass Digest contends has been circulating “for months,” that director J.J. Abrams “is on the verge of dropping out” of Star Wars: Episode VII.
“There is no truth to the rumor,” Lucasfilm said in a statement to Hero Complex. “J.J. is having a great time working on the script and is looking forward to going into production next year.”
Abrams is scheduled to begin filming the first chapter of the new Star Wars trilogy in early 2014 at Pinewood Studios. The script was written by Toy Story 3‘s Michael Arndt with Abrams getting in there and working his own magic. Aside from that, we still don’t know too much about the story or characters aside from some incredibly brief character descriptions released for casting purposes.
Star Wars: Episode VII is scheduled to open in 2015.
