In an interview with This Is Infamous, directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg reveal that the fifth installment of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise now has a subtitle: Dead Men Tell No Tales, a phrase familiar to anyone who’s ever visited the Disney theme park attraction.

Although the movie has a name, everything else about Dead Men Tell No Tales is largely unknown, including whether it follows directly from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides or is itself a stand-alone adventure. While rumors have circulated about Orlando Bloom’s interest in rejoining the franchise, Johnny Depp is the only returning cast member so far to sign on to the sequel.

Directed by Rønning and Sandberg from a script by Jeff Nathanson, the film has a projected July 10, 2015 release.

It’s time to let this franchise die the death it deserves, savy?

Ok…the line: DMTNT is featured in the 3rd film AWE, which is about getting Jack out of Davy Jones’ Locker, which also suggests there is meant to be a Jack Sparrow redemption arc, since he keeps ruining peoples lives (Will, Elizabeth, Philip, Angelica) and is why he can’t stand to be with himself while inside the locker…

If you think about what OST set up for us, the logical step is that Philip needs to switch places with Will and become the Captain of the flying Dutchman..

The title and the concept of ‘dead men’ (but men singular) is also featured in Dead Man’s Chest–again connecting us with things pertaining to Davy Jones, The Captain of the Dutchman, and the role of ferrying to souls [of the DEAD] to the other side.

I think everyone is entitled to see and not see what they want to and we should let there be something for everybody.

So does that mean I can get a prequel to Blade Runner that’s an 80′s style sex comedy called Blade Runner: Deckard does Dallas? That shit would be so cash.

I don’t know, but they are making a sequel.
