Universal Options "The Wicked + The Divine" for TV Adaptation
The Hunger Games films are getting a powerful figure for the growing rebellion. According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Francis Lawrence hired Natalie Dormer to play Cressida in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2.
Cressida starts off as, basically, a TV director who switches sides and joins the rebellion, making sure to document its activities and even getting in on the action during an important attack.
Best known as Margaery Tyrell on HBO’s Game of Thrones and Ann Boleyn on The Tudors, Dormer also appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger and has parts in the upcoming films Rush by Ron Howard and The Counselor by Ridley Scott.
Hunger Games: Catching Fire is scheduled for a Nov. 22, 2013 while the two parts of Mockingjay will debut on Nov. 21, 2014 and Nov. 20, 2015 respectively.
