X-POSITION: Phoenix, Upstarts & More Tear Up Bowers & Sims' "X-Men '92"
With Star Wars: Episode VII officially set to arrive on Dec. 18, 2015, director J.J. Abrams and the rest of the Disney/Lucasfilm team need to start finding some actors, and fast.
It looks like the effort is very much ongoing, based on an alleged new casting call for the movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a call is making the rounds for the following roles:
Rachel – Was quite young when she lost her parents. With no other family, she was forced to make her way in a tough, dangerous town. Now 17, she has become street smart and strong. She is able to take care of herself using humor and guts to get by.
Thomas – Has grown up without a father’s influence … Without the model of being a man, he doesn’t have the strongest sense of himself, despite this he is smart, capable and shows courage when it is needed. He can appreciate the absurdities in life and understands you can’t take life too seriously.
THR further notes that Rachel is in the 17-18 year range, and Thomas in the 19-23 range. Both characters are described as attractive, “smart and athletic.”
