Three More ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2′ Posters Showcase Electro

Electro sure likes to strike a pose — well, one pose. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 villain, played by Jamie Foxx in the upcoming Sony sequel, features prominently in three new posters for the Marc Webb film.

SuperHeroHype curated the trio of posters, both domestic and international, from IGN, Digital Spy and Oleg Gaiko on Twitter that you can check out below.

Opening May 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 also stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Chris Cooper and Sally Field.

These posters are just plain ugly. +$100 million dollar movie and all they can muster is a few half-a$$ed photoshop-chop-job images? And they only had Jaime Foxx available long enough for ONE photo to use in all their marketing?

OMG! Unless this was a public Poster Creation Contest! Winner gets 4 free tickets on opening night? And they chose these posters which were done by an 8th grade photoshop class? In that case…they still suck.

I just hope the movie is higher quality than the materials Sony has puked out for it’s marketing.

looks like shit. Seriously, if this is Sony’s attempt at creating a visually distinctive franchise from the growing pool, then they’re falling devastatingly short.

I miss the days when painters used to make posters.
    Someone should bring that back.

I would be excited to have someone like Alex Ross or Paolo Rivera or another comic artists to do a movie poster(this is honestly looking more like a comic book come to life than the past 4 Spider-Man movies combined) but this is a pretty good start like the second poster looks like the Spider-Man movie video cover and the Marvels#4 cover and the third cover looks like a classic Spider-Man comic book cover come to relative life.

I want something similar to the Spider-Man 1 and 2 movie posters( or the Spider-Man 3 or Amazing Spider-Man poster similar to Black Spider-Man on top of the church or Peter standing on top of the wall and his shadow forming a spider) or some posters that look like some classic comic book covers come to life.
