After a career that’s included everything from dinosaurs and superheroes to desert adventures and werewolves, Captain America: The First Avenger director Joe Johnston is looking to add an alien-invasion movie to his filmography.

Heat Vision reports the Good Universe project, called Extinction, follows a man trying to save his family while aliens attack. Spenser Cohen wrote the script.

Johnston, who also directed The Rocketeer and The Wolfman, will next release the office thriller Not Safe for Work and Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father.

Johnston has yet to make a bad movie. One of my favorite directors. And it sounds like it might take a more personal view rather than focusing on the large-scale invasion, similar to Spielberg’s “War of the Worlds,” so that would be nice, as well.

Even though I do enjoy the film, I would like to point out ‘Jurassic Park III’.
