Joss Whedon Apologizes to South Korea For ‘Avengers’ Shoot

As The Avengers: Age of Ultron gears up for production next week in Seoul, South Korea, director Joss Whedon has issued a preemptive apology to the city’s residents for all of the Hulk-smashing inconveniences the shoot is about to bring.

“I’m really grateful and excited to be filming in your city. We’re going to mess it up and inconvenience some people for a few days,” Whedon said in a video message taped for the people of Seoul. “I apologize for that. I know what that’s like. I live in Los Angeles, and it happens to me all of the time. It’s not fun. I hope it will be worth it.”

“We love this movie, we love your city, and having the two of them together will show the cities of the world in a light that it hasn’t been shown, certainly not in America,” he continued. “For us to showcase it in the manner we’re going to, and to have all the exciting action as part of Avengers: Age of Ultron, is a real privilege. I apologize for how hard it is to do. But in the end, it’s something special, so thank you.”

Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1, 2015, with a cast that includes Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch and James Spader as Ultron.

The more important question is when is he going to apologize for not making Dr. Horrible 2 yet.

And recorded the video on the set in the Valle D’Aosta… I’m afraid he did not need to say more than we look like Eastern Europe. Maybe because he was not *scared* of us. But it is only because he doesn’t know us enough. -_^

    You’ve never seen Dr. Horrible!?!?!?!?
