"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" Trailer Officially Released
Is there trouble in paradise — or, more accurately, is there trouble for those who weren’t selected to go to paradise?
Deadline reports that The Leftovers, the new HBO series from Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof, is taking a break, shutting down production for “a brief hiatus” following the completion of the current sixth episode.
“We put ourselves on a tight schedule,” HBO explained in a statement, “and we decided to give our production a short hiatus to prep our final episodes.”
The hiatus is said to last less than two weeks, and won’t impact the show’s planned season premiere date of June 15.
The Leftovers stars Justin Theroux and Liv Tyler, and takes place in a world where a small but significant portion of the population have mysteriously vanished — an event that may or may not be the biblical Rapture. It’s based on Tom Perrotta’s book of the same name. Perrotta is co-writer of the series alongside Lindelof.
