INTERVIEW: Duggan's "Deadpool" Deals with the Pressures of High Profile Heroics
The future of Insidious is in familiar hands.
Heat Vision reports that Leigh Whannell, star of the first Saw and co-creator of the franchise alongside James Wan, will step behind the lens as director of Insidious: Chapter 3, from Focus Features and FilmDistrict. Wan directed the first two Insidious movies, which were written by Whannell. It’s a natural progression, in other words; the franchise is staying in the family.
The first two Insidious films focused on Josh and Renai Lambert, played by Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne, as they struggle against the forces of demonic possession. It’s unclear whether they’ll return for the third film, due in theaters on April 3, 2015.
