X-POSITION: Burnham, Culver, Villalobos Spell Out "E Is For Extinction"
With Hell on Wheels alive and thriving on Saturday nights, Deadline reports AMC is looking to bolster its Western lineup with The Son, based on the novel of the same name written by Philipp Meyer.
The project will be produced by Sonar Entertainment and Meyer himself, alongside Hemlock Grove developers Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy.
The Son is described as “an epic of the American West and a multi-generational saga of power, blood, land and oil that follows the rise of one unforgettable Texas family, from the Comanche raids of the 1800s to the to the oil booms of the 20th century.”
Between Hell on Wheels, upcoming comic book adaptation Preacher and now The Son, AMC seems rather high on the Western right now.
