Vaughan & Chiang's "Paper Girls" Builds a Familiar Yet Disconcerting World
Harrison Ford was taken to a hospital Thursday after injuring his ankle on the U.K. set of Star Wars: Episode VII.
“He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care,” Disney said in a statement. “Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.”
A source told The Hollywood Reporter the 71-year-old actor, who reprises his role as Han Solo, was injured by the door of the Millennium Falcon, which has been reconstructed for the J.J. Abrams film.
Ford is joined in Episode VII by his original co-stars Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker, as well as newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie. The film opens Dec. 18, 2015.
