Jack Coleman Returning For NBC’s ‘Heroes’ Reboot

Horn Rimmed Glasses is back in business.

Deadline reports that actor Jack Coleman will reprise his role as hero-hunting (and, sometimes, hero-helping) spy Noah Bennet for Heroes Reborn, NBC’s planned 2015 miniseries revival of Heroes. Bennet, the adoptive father of quick-healing cheerleader Claire (Hayden Panettiere), was one of few series regulars on the original Heroes without superpowers; that’s not counting the time he was shot in the brain then brought back to life with Claire’s super-blood.

Coleman becomes the first Heroes veteran announced to return for Heroes Reborn, which is being overseen by series creator Tim Kring. But will he be the last?

While the network had teased  it wouldn’t “rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in,”  Panettiere admitted in April that she was surprised by the announcement of the 13-episode event series and, at least at that point, wasn’t involved in the project.

I have a feeling that some comic book-y alternate reality / universe plots are going to go into use with these two versions of “Heroes”. Frankly, I would be disappointed if they didn’t.
