Axel-In-Charge: Extending "Secret Wars," Excitement for a "Totally Awesome Hulk"
There’s good news and bad news on the Better Call Saul front: Starting with the bad, AMC has pushed the premiere of the Breaking Bad spinoff from November 2014 to early 2015. The good news is, the series has already been renewed for a second season.
“Production on Better Call Saul is underway and we could not be more proud of nor more excited about the work to date,” AMC President Charlie Collier said in a statement, accompanied by the first official photo from the pilot set. “When introducing any series, especially one with the DNA of Breaking Bad, there are countless factors to consider in making sure the show gets the launch it deserves. We have a strong history with Vince, Peter, Bob, the studio… and all share a focus on making it a true television event. No half measures.”
Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould of Breaking Bad fame are the writers and co-showrunners of Better Call Saul, which sees the return of Bob Odenkirk as the shady TV lawyer, as well as Jonathan Banks as lethal hit man Mike Ehrmantraut. The series takes place before the events of Breaking Bad.
