Axel-In-Charge: Navigating the "Civil War II" Landscape, Bringing DMC to Marvel
Peace doesn’t come easily. In order to achieve a near-utopian existence, the citizens of America in the world of The Purge are forced to withstand a 12-hour period of murder and mayhem, once a year — and it’s almost time for the soul-cleansing chaos to begin.
The Purge: Anarchy hits theaters July 18, opening up the world glimpsed in writer/director James DeMonaco’s 2013 film. Rather than existing solely inside the household of a wealthy family, the new Purge hits the streets and follows three groups of people struggling to survive the night: an estranged husband and wife, an out-of-their-depth mother and daughter, and a vengeful father looking to take advantage of the occasion.
