As fans may have guessed by director Peter Jackson’s recent comment that the teaser trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies “will be making its way into the world sometime soon,” the final installment of the fantasy trilogy will be part of Warner Bros.’ Hall H presentation at Comic-Con International.
The studio announced this morning that Jackson & Co. will be joined Saturday, July 26, by writer/director George Miller and Mad Max: Fury Road, and the Wachowskis’ delayed Jupiter Ascending.
Interestingly, there’s no mention in the announcement of early footage from Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, or indeed any DC Entertainment movie element (Warner Bros. was rumored last month to be unveiling its DC film slate at the convention). Of course, it’s entirely possible Warner Bros. wants to keep the Batman v Superman footage a “surprise.”
Comic-Con will be held July 23-27 in San Diego.
