Jason Fabok's 10 Favorite "Justice League" Moments
After years of being “sworn to secrecy,” Winona Ryder is finally ready to confirm she’ll reprise her role as Lydia Deetz in the long-discussed sequel to “Beetlejuice.” But only because director Tim Burton publicly confirmed it first.
“It was very hush-hush, top-secret, ‘Oh, I don’t know, it may happen,'” she said last night on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” “then he was doing some press for ‘Big Eyes,’ and he did an on-camera interview, and he said, ‘Oh, yeah, we’re doing it, and Winona’s going to be in it.’ […] But I really don’t know much more than anybody else.”
Screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith revealed in January that he and Burton had “landed on the right approach” to the follow-up to the 1988 film, one that “excited” star Michael Keaton.
The plan, apparently, is for production to begin on “Beetlejuice 2″ late this year, after Burton wraps his adaptation of “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.”
