Disney has debuted an extended trailer for “The Jungle Book,” revealing a smattering of new footage from director Jon Favreau’s live-action/CG remake.

Based on the stories of Rudyard Kipling, the film stars newcomer Neel Sethi as Mowgli, a man-cub raised by wolves who finds he’s no longer welcome in the jungle when the fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voiced by Idris Elba) promises to eliminate what he views as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli sets out on a journey of self-discovery, guided by the stern panther Bagheera (Ben Kingsley) and the free-spirited bear Baloo (Bill Murray).

“The Jungle Book” also stars Scarlett Johansson as the hypnotizing python Kaa, Christopher Walken as the smooth-talking orangutan King Louie, Lupita Nyong’o as the protective mother wolf Raksha and Giancarlo Esposito as the wolf pack’s alpha male Akela.

The film arrives in 3D on April 15.

3 months away and still not showing the animals talking in the trailers. It’s bad enough the animals have such an uncanny valley look but it’s just going to be like the chipmunks when they start talking.

I can’t decide which will be this years big Disney flop this or the new Alice in wonderland sequel.

Kaa was talking through the trailer though.

    ?? They show Kaa talking

Kaa is never shown talking it’s just a Scarlett Johansson voice over.

Although I was half joking with that last comment, but actually she was talking in the last sentence.
