Starz Lands Cable TV Rights for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

HanSoloTrailer

Premium cable channel Starz has acquired the rights to air “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

Variety reports that details of the transaction haven’t been disclosed, but confirmed that “Starz” will exclusively air “The Force Awakens” as part of a deal with Disney.

With home video releases edging closer and closer to theatrical release dates, it shouldn’t take to long for “The Force Awakens” to appear on the pay-TV subscription service.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is in theatres now.

jeez. Wonder how much they had to pay for that? I’d of thought HBO would snag that up.

I thought i’d read Disney had a deal with Netflix over all future star wars movies somewhere last year
