“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” heads into its fifth weekend of release another rung higher in the international box office.
Deadline reports the Disney sequel brought in another $10.9 million on Wednesday and $8.8 million on Thursday to lift its overseas total to $966.7 million, edging out “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2″ ($960.5 million) to become the fifth-highest grossing film of all time.
“The Force Awakens” is expected to pass $1.8 billion worldwide by the time receipts are counted.
The film continues to perform strong in China, where Disney reports it’s grossed $75.3 million as of Thursday.
