Lionsgate Says New "Power Rangers" Film Could Lead To Multiple Sequels
The “Gilmore Girls” are headed back to Stars Hollow. Netflix announced their “Gilmore Girls” revival series on Twitter and tagged both Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, confirming both stars would reprise their roles as Lorelai and Rory Gilmore.
The original show, which debuted in 2000, followed the relationship between Lorelai — a single mother — and her teenage daughter Rory in their day-to-day life in Connecticut.
TVLine reports the revival will begin filming on February 2 in Los Angeles; tentatively titled “Gilmore Girls: Seasons,” the series will be broken up into four 90-minute episodes, each of which will focus on a different season of the year. The report also states Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena will return as Luke, Emily, Kirk and Lane, respectively.
“[Creator] Amy [Sherman-Palladino] is now able to finish, appropriately, properly and I think with great satisfaction, the show the way it should conclude,” Warner Bros. Television President and Chief Content Officer Peter Roth divulged at a recent press event. “It’s going to be great. We’re very excited.”
Graham also shared her excitement to return to the series with a Tweet.
