“Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” was released in theaters six years ago, in 2010. While it may not be considered a box office hit, it certainly celebrated the superhero culture that so marks our theater trends today.

Based on the graphic novel series “Scott Pilgrim” and directed by Edgar Wright, the film showcased actor Michael Cera’s abilities to battle some classic superhero actors, including “Superman Returns” and “Arrow’s” Brandon Routh, and Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

The honest trailer promises two hours of nerd wish fulfillment and a protagonist that complains about everything. The revamped trailer is funny and reminiscent of a time before Marvel and DC dominated the box office. Check out the honest trailer for “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” below:

After suffering through part of this movie I would never have given the graphic novel series a chance had a friend not lent me his and insisted I read them. I’m glad he did because they were so much better.

That said I still find Scott murdering her ex-boyfriends and girlfriend to be really, really disturbing.
