First Look at DC Rebirth Designs For Bizarro, Red Robin, Batman Beyond & More
Ernie Hudson will be returning to the “Ghostbusters” franchise in Paul Feig’s new film this July, and he’s bringing a few friends with him, including Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd. At the American Black Film Festival Awards, he spoke to People Magazine about his upcoming cameo in the project as well as what the new cast has to offer.
“I have a cameo,” Hudson shared. “I came back, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney [Weaver], Annie Potts. So we all came to support the film.”
However, he added that the original stars “come in at quite different times,” which means they likely won’t cross paths in the film.
As to the new cast, he said, “They’re extraordinarily funny and there’s a great chemistry with them. I think it’s going to be very good. The script I knew was good. I knew the special effects would be amazing. But I was really pleasantly surprised to see how the women kind of gelled together.”
The film stars Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy and Leslie Jones in the lead roles, joined by Chris Hemsworth, Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh and Neil Casey, with cameos by franchise veterans Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver.
The first full-length trailer will arrive March 3. “Ghostbusters” premieres July 15.
