Sorry, Maisie Williams Isn’t Returning to ‘Doctor Who’

Ignore any rumor you may have read about “Game of Thrones” Maisie Williams replacing Jenna Coleman as the Doctor’s companion on “Doctor Who.” It’s simply too good to be true.

“I’m not going to be working on ‘Doctor Who’ again,” said the 18-year-old actress, who’s appeared on four episodes of the long-running BBC drama. “Everyone’s hyping about it, which is very exciting, but I guess that’s more of a publicity thing. But no, I’m not going to return, I have a lot of other really exciting projects lined up instead.”

Presumably that also rules out Williams succeeding Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, y’know, as long as Idris Elba isn’t cast in the role first.

Her journey was over anyway, and there’s always the option for Big Finish to do audio adventures with Me either in her long immortal experience or her temporal adventures with not dead yet Clara when she’s more free and willing.

Fine by me, her character was entirely superfluous and she wasn’t particularly good.

her journey ended when she got clara killed and ticked off the current doctor who warned her stay out of my way . though would have been cool to see her and the doctor either still peter or some one new confronting each other again .

Why would someone want her as the next companion? It makes no sense.
