PREVIEWS: "Civil War II," "Punisher" & More Marvel Comics on Sale June 1, 2016
It’s been nearly a year since we’ve heard any kind of update about the elusive sequel to 1991’s “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey,” but in that time very little has changed.
Co-star Alex Winter revealed in March 2015 that “We’re really close,” but cautioned that in Hollywood, that “means we’ll either be shooting soon, or it’s never going to happen.” Keanu Reeves followed that just weeks later with, “We’re closer, we’re closer.”
But now? Well …
“That’s still true – we’re closer and we’re not closer,” Reeves recently told IGN. “We’re expecting another draft and hopefully we’ll get closer. […] We’re just trying to get the script together. We’re trying to get the story right. We’re working with this studio so we have a little bit of support, in a sense of like if the material comes through we’ll try and make this picture. We’re really just still trying to get the story right.”
Penned by original writers Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson, “Bill & Ted 3″ would see Winter and Reeves reprise their roles as Bill S. Preston, Esq., and Ted “Theodore” Logan, who are now in their 40s, but not necessarily mature.
