SDCC: "Batman: The Killing Joke" Cast & Crew Debuts Film at Comic-Con International
As speculation heats up about who might succeed Daniel Craig as James Bond, “Thor” star Tom Hiddleston was quick to downplay rumors he could acquire a license to kill.
“I play a British spy in ‘The Night Manager,'” the blushing actor said last night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “so I think people have made the link.”
“As somebody who grew up with Sean Connery and Roger Moore, when you mention it, there’s a part of me that goes, ‘Really?’ You know, ‘Are you kidding?'” Hiddleston continued. “But I feel like who’s going to be the next James Bond is one of the nation’s favorite pub conversations. It’s up there with who’s going to win ‘X-Factor.'”
The actor, whose miniseries “The Night Manager” premieres April 19 on AMC, said earlier this month that if the role of James Bond “ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity.”
