Ezra’s Mysterious Companion Curses the Sith in New ‘Star Wars Rebels’ Clip

In “Twilight of the Apprentice,” the next episode of “Star Wars Rebels,” Ezra has found himself a mysterious new companion. The latest clip from the episode reveals that he and this hooded figure have a common enemy in the Inquisitor — as well as the fact that this enigmatic man once wielded the Force.

In the clip, Ezra quickly accuses the man of being a Sith, which he vehemently denies, recounting how he was used as a weapon by them. During the sequence, audiences get a better — if still obscured — look at his face. Considering both these things, it seems as though Ezra may be dealing with none other than Darth Maul.

“Star Wars Rebels” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Disney XD.

His dialogue officially confirms he is Maul. I can’t actually believe how much he has changed, and despite the atrocities he commited it looked like he did care for somethings.

    Can’t wait for this episode.

It seems to be building off his last appearance in Clone Wars. He broke his facade as an unshakeable badass when he was very clearly upset over Palpatine killing Savage.
