DreamWorks and J. Michael Straczynski aren’t the only ones plumbing the real-life friendship between Harry Houdini and Arthur Conan Doyle for drama. Syfy is developing Among the Spirits, which finds the duo solving mysteries with the help of a female cop and steampunk technology.
DreamWorks has picked up Voices from the Dead from Changeling screenwriter and well-known comic scribe J. Michael Straczynski, who spoke first with Spinoff about the roaring ’20s mystery centering on real-life friends Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini.
