The LEGO Movie director Chris Miller says the film’s Batman spinoff will draw across the entire history of the iconic character.
Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Nick Offerman and Alison Brie join the cast of Warner Bors. and Roadshow Pictures’ CGI-animated LEGO 3D film, which opens Feb. 7.
Batman and Superman will appear in Lego: The Piece of Resistance, the long-developing Warner Bros. movie that delves deep into the Lego toybox for a hybrid live-action and CG-animated adventure. Will Arnett will voice Batman while Channing Tatum is being sought for Superman.
Warner Bros. has greenlit an action-adventure movie based on the popular Lego building-block toys. The film, which will blend CGI with live-action, will be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs) and Chris McKay (Robot Chicken).
