In a day filled with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. promotional material, Marvel and ABC have released a full three-minute trailer for the anticipated Joss Whedon show starring Clark Gregg.

It appears as if we finally know how Clark Gregg’s Agent Coulson is still alive in ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot, and it’s not a twist many of us were expecting.
Although Nathan Fillion wasn’t able to appear at WonderCon as originally planned, the Much Ado About Nothing panel was a crowd-pleaser with fan-favorites Joss Whedon, Clark Gregg and Sean Maher in attendance.
Actor Clark Gregg said that although Agent Coulson was seemingly killed in The Avengers, ABC’s planned S.H.I.E.L.D. series will provide viewers with “some clue as to why I’m still there, still breathing.”

S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen revealed a behind-the-scenes photo of a sign from the set of the Joss Whedon-directed pilot. The project appears likely to receive a series order from ABC.
ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee confirms that S.H.I.E.L.D. takes place after the epic New York battle depicted in The Avengers. Joss Whedon, meanwhile, promises “the spectacle of science-fiction storytelling.”
Speaking to journalists at the Television Critics Association’s winter tour, ABC’s Paul Lee said the network is hopeful Joss Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. will receive a series order. Whedon is already working on additional scripts.
Hollyoaks actress Elizabeth Henstridge and The Fades star Iain De Caestecker will play bickering science and technology whiz kids in Joss Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot. They join Clark Gregg and Ming-Na.
