Ron Howard’s ambitious plan to adapt Stephen King’s The Dark Tower seems to be dead for now, one question remains: Who will manage to pull off the TV/movie crossover trick first?
So, DC Entertainment apparently is planning a Justice League movie – and it’ll apparently feature versions of both Batman and Superman than are appearing in their own movies. Clearly, DC and Warner Bros are looking forward to seeing how quickly they can screw up their superhero franchises.
So, it appears that Hollywood has finally realized that there’s only so many old toys, cartoon shows and comic books worth making into movies (And somewhere, Marvel and DC are aggressively disagreeing with that last one, I’m sure), and is looking for the movie machine to start churning out original material. Which raises the question: Is anyone really ready for that?
