The stars and director of the new comedy drama discuss bringing Elmore Leonard’s 1978 novel The Switch to the screen,
Screening an unfinished version of Lincoln this week at the New York Film Festival, director Steven Spielberg revealed a rather dry historical drama whose strength lies in the performances of star Daniel Day-Lewis and much of the ensemble cast.
Oscar nominee John Hawkes says he passed on the role of the villainous Governor on AMC’s The Walking Dead because he didn’t feel he was right for the part, and “I have to be careful of what TV shows I choose, particularly ones that have commercials in them, because it’s going to be a different kind of television show.”
A representative for John Hawkes has shot down the rumor that the Oscar-nominated co-star of Winter’s Bone will play the villainous Governor on AMC’s The Walking Dead.
Elmore Leonard’s Jackie Brown prequel The Switch will be adapted by director Dan Schechter, with John Hawkes and Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) attached to star.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones and a number of other noted actors are officially confirmed to be joining the cast of Steven Spielberg’s planned 2012 biopic Lincoln.
